About the Position
As an Engineering Intern, you’ll support the technical development and refinement of rrreefs’ modular reef systems. Your work will involve analyzing oceanographic data, conducting hydrodynamic modeling, and optimizing reef structures for real-world marine conditions. Whether you're passionate about FEM simulations or wave energy dissipation, your contribution will directly support climate-positive, scalable restoration solutions.
Your Role & Responsibilities
Analyze long-term oceanographic and wave data
Conduct value analyses of hydrodynamic forces on reef structures
Model wave transformations and sediment interactions
Contribute to material simulations using FEM tools
Help refine reef design, placement, and construction criteria
Co-develop underwater construction tools and methods for modular reef installation
Collaborate with marine scientists, designers, and innovators
Job requirements
About You
You are currently studying or have recently completed a program (Bachelor, Master, MBA, or other) with a strong technical foundation
You have practical experience or coursework in engineering, marine engineering, oceanography, or related technical fields
You’re confident using tools like Python or other programming languages for data processing
Familiarity with FEM modeling, hydrodynamics, or material behavior analysis is a big plus
You enjoy working across disciplines, love data and design, and want to build something with purpose
Fluent in English (spoken and written); other languages are welcome
Most importantly, you're motivated by impact, climate action, and meaningful marine innovation
